There is a terrific project getting underway at Green Forest Internat!  Director Vasily Nikolaevich Goga is currently remodeling the dormitories, one group unit at a time, so they will be more home-like.  That is, in the new plan, the larger common bedrooms are being divided into rooms for 2 or 3 children or teens.  These will be decorated in a more cheery way, as well!   For teens who will be graduating from the Internat in the next years, there will be a bit of privacy and a chance for them to feel more independent.  Also, improvements in the bathrooms and "living rooms" of each unit are being implemented.   

The older teens' dorms are being renovated first.  However, the very first "suite" to be finished was for a young group of children, and it was financed by a local Ukrainian business woman.  GREAT IDEA!   Now that idea is really taking off, group by group, as money is found to continue.  

To make certain that all our children have an opportunity for their own homelike living space, we want to help in this project!  Green Forest Internat is home to about 160 children and teens. This internat was founded 82 years ago!  The buildings are quite old, so it's imperative to keep these improvements continuing, on schedule, so all the orphans can benefit.  You can imagine their smiles, when they finally get to move back into their lovely new rooms.

With donation of this amount, our Director will completely renovate one group’s living unit this summer, and in September the group of 12 -14 children can move back into their space with new small bedrooms with storage space, a new common bathroom, and vastly improved common room!
