Shipping instructions for donations

• Marked for a specific child (Help An Orphan, etc.) 
• Marked for a specific orphanage 
• Well packed and taped shut 
• Have a shipping check (PayPal can NOT be used for shipping!)
• Have one fully completed Life2Orphans shipping form attached
• Have the Shipping Cost Calculation page attached
• Have FOUR copies of the fully completed Ukrainian customs form (STAPLED together) attached
  

• Not taped well
• Without checks
• With incomplete forms
• For general donation purposes

Steps To Prepare Your Donation For Shipping

Step 1:

Pack your box as if fragile and seal with plenty of packing tape!

This is CRITICAL as the boxes are going to be shipped halfway around the world. We often receive boxes with items hanging out when they arrive in Portland.

Be sure to leave some untaped, bare box areas on top. Processing information must be written on the box and marker comes off easily when written on tape.

Remember to itemize the contents of the box before sealing it shut.

Please do not send any boxes less than 17 X 12 X 9 inches in size.

Step 2:

Weigh and measure your box(es) and calculate the shipping costs using the online shipping calculator. 

Print the "Shipping Cost Calculator" page with your Total Shipping Cost calculated, for each box.

Step 3:

Write a check made payable to Life2Orphans for the amount of the shipping.

When shipping multiple boxes, include a separate check for each box.

Note: Life2Orphans will charged a fee of $30 for each returned check received.  PayPal can NOT be used for shipping!

Step 4:

Completely Fill Out Mandatory Form for Ukrainian Customs

The recipient address MUST be written in English in the second portion of this form.

Fill out the third section with description/quantity:
Provide descriptions such as women's shirts - 4, boys pants - 2, boxes of crayons - 5, etc. in this area.

You will need to send TWO copies of this form (STAPLED together) with your package.

Step 5:

Fill out all information on the mandatory Life2Orphans shipping form.

Step 6:

Write out a label for the shipment of the box to Ukraine ONLY if your box is going to an individual, or an orphanage that is not currently supported by Life2Orphans. (See Ukrainian labeling instructions below.)

If you are sending your box to a currently supported orphanage, you do not need to make a label. The labels are preprinted and will be put on the box at the Mission.

Step 7:

Put your Life2Orphans shipping form, FOUR copies of the Ukrainian customs form, your check, your Ukrainian label (if not sending to a supported orphanage) in an envelope and tape securely to the outside of the box.

Please note that delivery can take 7 to 9 weeks.

Ukrainian Labeling Instructions

If your boxes are going to an individual or an orphanage
that is not listed below, please include a LABEL for shipment
to whom you would like your box(es) DELIVERED TO.

Please label in Russian or Ukrainian if you have the address in this language.

Include NAME, ADDRESS and, if possible, PHONE NUMBER.
